It's been a while since I've done a blog. I havn't done anything really lately, but recently I took a picture for the "Outstanding Kids of the Year" or something like that. I gave the picture to Zemi to send to SJR.

Today in class I sent out emails to all of the club sponsors and asked for updated information and pictures. I also emailed Mr Ward about the updated Student Handbook. He said that he will get back to me. I then went through and deleted old information that people were complaining about on the site. I really dont have to study for finals so I just spent my time working on the website. This will probably be my last long day to work on the site before break.

Today I did not have anything specific to do but last class I updated all the sports schedules and put them in order by date. I also had a set of things to do fro Mr. Shutz. He wanted to delete some things and put in the new nurse. I had to also update her email address so people can email her if they have any problems. Today I think I will be messing with the new way top do the athletic schedules. We have to create a separate schedule for the district for the sports. Next class I am not sure what we are going to do. I hope Mr. Langley is here so we can do alot to help the website.

Today I had to create the entire varsity girls soccer team schedule. For some reason the schedule was not on the school site. It probably wasnt because the season doesnt start until next semester. It was very time consuming to put all the dates of the games on the district site. Next time hopefully Mr langley is hear because I need help actually making a folder for the schedule to be put in the Athletic Schedules folder. I want to know if there is an easier way to transfer dates and places. Also next time I will have to do the same thing for the girls volleyball schedule. It has not been created so I need to do so.

Today Mr Langley came in for awhile and sat down with us and explained some issues we needed to cover. He wanted me to reorder all the athletic schedules but first he wanted to get all the pdf's of the schedules so I had something to look off of. Also I went through and deleted some stuff off of the checklist. I still need some conformation for most of the items on the list. We have a numerous amount of people to ask about certain topics. Next time I will probably reorder all the schedules and do anything else that I can to improve the site.

                Today I took pictures of all of the class officers of each grade. I took a group picture depending on the grade. I then picked the best one from each one to be put on the website later on.

Today all I did was go through and delete old stuff on the site. I wasn't for sure if everything that I deleted should be deleted so I saved all the files to my computer. It was not hard at all.
Mr. Langley was not here so I couldn't ask him what should and should not be deleted. Next time I hope he is here so I can help do more stuff to the website.

Today in class we looked over all the notes we took last class and created a plan on how to attack numerous things on the website. There were quite a few so we started with the ones that simply needed deleted. Mr. Langley wasnt here today so we just worked on our own. Also Tyler and I took pictures of all the class officers. We are gonna upload these photos to the website so it is up to date on class officers.

Next time we will continue to do what we did today.We want to get all these tasks completed as quickly as we can and that means we need to work hard together.

Today our superintendent Mr. Schutts came in and talked to us about the website. He had sugestions on what we needed to update and delete on the district site. There is a ton of stuff that needs to be done. We also set up our new gmail accounts for the website. Our goal is to make our school operate through google.

Next time we are going to set up all the accounts through google. We hope that it works because emails will operate more smoothly.

Today in class I updated the Athletic Handbook. It was really easy. Mr. Langley already had the file converted into a pdf so all I had to do was upload it to the website. Tyler went and set up the studio backdrop and took pictures of the class officers. This did not take him very long either. Next class I will not be here but tyler will upload the pictures to the website so that the classes are all updated. I wont be back until next monday because I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled and other dental work done.

Today in Web Master I had to set up the backdrops in the backroom. I needed to do this so I can take pictures of the class officers next time. So after this I have to organize how I'm going to do it, and who the class officers are.

Today in class we did not really have anything to do. Me and Tyler just looked through and put in images for the apps page we were given. Mr. Langley was not here so we didnt have a structured class today. I looked up some music though that I might download late when I get home tonight.

Next time i think I will have to upload the new athletic handbook. Mr. Brooks has a copy of it and wants us to put the new one on the website. Mr. Langley said he would be here so he can help me with that.

Today in Web Master I had to go through the apps that were given to me and either pick our icons for the specified name or pick our a statement based on what the game is about and what its about. Time to get started.

Today in class I uploaded the breakfast and lunch menus for the school district. It was very easy all I had to do was turn the menu into a pdf file. Mr. Langley so far is not in class today. Hopefully he will be in the next class so we can do some productive work. Also tonight Michael Wacha takes the mound for the Cardinals against the Red Sox. It is a must win for the Cardinals if they want to win the World series. RedSox lead the series 3-2.

On Tuesday Mr. Langley drew up a plan with us too fix and update the website. We updated a bunch off old stuff and got rid of some of it too. The major thing we did was that we added a fine arts to the navigation bar. We felt that fine arts needed its own tab and we transfered a bunch of stuff into the bar. We did this all class and we got most of it done. I also updated the content bar of the website as well.

Today I moved the NIU link to the guidance page because I do not feel that it needed to be in the community group. I went and asked Mrs. Brandon first though just to get the okay on it. That is all I did today in webmaster. Tonight I work at my job till 8 and I am going home to watch the Cardinal game. Its game 2 and they are looking to bounce back from a 8-1 loss last night. Carlos Beltran status is up in the air and he is a huge part of the cardinals offense and overall make up of the team.

Today in webmaster we just reordered alot of the tabs on top of the High School district website. There was alot of things to move around, but we pretty much got it all organized. We also asked Mrs. Brandon about a NIU website, but she said just to keep it where it is.

Today in class all we did was go down to the office to talk to Mr.Ward about the website.He had many goods ideas and he agreed with some of our ideas. He feels that we need a quick clean up of the website. There is alot old information on the website and it needs to be removed.Mr. Langley is gonna sit down with us next class and help us with the website.

Today was another easy day. Mr. Langley seems to have forgotten about us; just kidding. I understand he's a busy guy. I spent some time trying to find the cross country pictures so I could go through them and find the good ones, but I couldn't find them. After that I just went through all the SD cards to clear them all. We had a shorter class today, so we didn't do too much.

Today was another easy day. Mr. Langley wasn't here again. All I felt I needed to do was create a folder for soccer and the videos. After that I did my psychology homework, which just consisted of taking a lot of notes and regurgitating in back onto a worksheet. Hopefully Mr. Langley gives us something to do next class.

Today I looked through the emails and I did not have any new ones. We were not left any instruction on what to do today in class and Mr. Langley was not here either. I will just continue to look at the navigation bar and see what we can do to improve the website. I also helped Tyler with his homework in Media Lit. It was over the history of radio broadcasting. He had to do 9 questions and I helped him with some of the questions. Today wasn't a very productive day but hopefully next time is!

Today was a super easy day. We got out early, so the class was only 40 minutes and Mr.Langley wasn't here. All we had to do was make a list of things we thought we could do to improve the website and make navigation easier for parents and students. An example being; make an art tab instead of having student art work under academics because that doesn't really make sense.  I also went on box and deleted a picture. I don't know what we are going to do next class, but I bet we will work on the website to make navigation easier.

Today was a real easy day. Mr. Langley didn't show up so all I did was upload some pictures of the homecoming court and label them. I  had trouble knowing some of students so I had to find the sheet of the homecoming court we used a couple weeks ago. I also organized some folders and finished up homecoming pictures overall. Next class hopefully Mr. Langley will be here and have a new job for me.

             Today in Web Master my goal was to go through the whole Pleasant Plain district calender for all of the categories of basketball. I had a correct version of the schedule that was redone and had to base that off of the websites schedule and edit the websites schedule as to the revised schedule. This was needed because there were a lot of small errors throughout the websites schedule. It was a time consuming task but we got it done.

Today in class I worked on formatting schedules for the middle school girls and boys basketball and for the high school girls and boys basketball. It wasn't very hard we just had to adjust the times of some games and add some games to the schedule that were not there before. The high school boys schedule was the worst. Many of the times and dates were mixed up. Tyler did the middle school and I did the high school schedule. Overall we accomplished our goal today by completing the schedules. Mr. Langley wasn't here today but that is what he left us with. Next time I am not sure what we will be doing but hopefully it is productive and helps the website.

Today in class I started by taking some of the SD cards and clearing them and putting them into folders. ACDSee was working a lot better, so I guess the defragmenting worked. After I finished that up I went on Box and started labeling picture from the most recent football game. I knew what to say for most of them, but I need some clarification for the last couple because I didn't recognize the people. Next class I will finish that up and them upload more pictures to the computer and then onto box for Plains Press.

Today Mr. Langley was not here once again. I checked the web master email and I didnt have any new emails. There wasnt really anything to do. ALso the St. Louis Cardinals game was on today and I listened to it. The Cardinals need to win this game to go to force a game 5 in the NLDS. Other than listening to the cardinals game there was not anything else that I did. I looked at the website and it was fine. Hopefully there will be more to do next time.

         Today in Webmaster, Mr. Langley came in later towards the class so we didn't do much. The stuff that we did get done was to try to categorize certain tabs on the High School district website. They were already categorized, but some of the topics were placed in weird and hard to find areas where they should not of been. The main move that we did was deleting the old STI tab, because we no longer use STI and substituted it with the new Teacher Ease tab.
         This is all that we did today for webmaster. There was not much, but we still got some work done int he time that was allowed and the task that was given.

Today Mr. Langley was gone for the majority of the class. I spent that time picking out pictures to put om box.com  from homecoming week. ACDSee Pro kept on crashing so it made the job a lot longer then it needed to be. When Mr. Langley got here I told him about the problem and he suggested updating everything on the computer. While the computer was updating I labeled some pictures on box. When the computer finished Mr. Langley suggested we should defragment the hard drive, because it needed it. I learned how to do that, which was pretty interesting. It was cool to see the process the computer went through to clean it out and organize itself.  Next class I plan on  finishing up the homecoming pictures and labeling some picture from several football games.

Today all i did was put the bank-a-meal on the contents bar on the district and high school website. I did this because we recently ave gotten complaints saying that they cant find the link. If people can not find it now then they are blind. I did not receive any other emails today. Also once again Mr. Langley was not present. There was not really much to do. I just looked over the sight and helped look for pictures. Next time hopefully we will have more to do. Mr. Langley will probably be here to next class.

Today in webmaster we were supposed to upload a picture from the picture files. The picture was of the 2013 volleyball team. Although knowing this we were not able to find it. We tried looking in different places but could not find it but hopefully today we are able to track it down.

I wasn't in class today because I had a field trip for yearbook. At the field trip I learned a lot of new camera stuff and learned a little about Photoshop. The guy teaching the Photoshop class didn't really know what he was doing and kind of sucked at teaching. I almost fell asleep. Mr.Langley taught the camera stuff so obviously it was excellent. I was reminded of the rule of thirds, which normally slips my mind when I'm taking pictures. I also learned how to caption a picture, which I have been doing for box.com, so now I know a little more about it.
Next class I plan on going through the homecoming pictures and picking out the good ones. I also need to start putting things on box and start captioning things.

Today Mr. Langley was not present. We were supposed to send an email to Mr.Brooks with the Volley Ball team picture but we could not find the photo. I also received an email from a parent asking about the bank a meal. She said that her daughters link to her account was no longer working. I emailed her back then forwarded the message to Mr. Langley. Thats all I did today.

Next class I will probably try to fix the bank a meal account and also email the picture to Mr. Brooks of the Volleyball team. Mr. Langley will also probably be here next class to help us.

        Today in Web Master I plan to get a lot done. What I plan to do is go through a lot more of the homecoming parade photos and do more labeling. I do not know if I will get it all complete because there are so many photos, but hope to get a good chunk out of the way. If I were to get this done, I will want to continue picking photos for the slideshow on the High School website homepage.

       What I'm mainly looking to do is get a lot of work done and accomplish the tasks at hand.

       Today in Web Master class i had to go through a lot of the pictures of the homecoming parade. While going through the pictures of the homecoming parade I had to label  the pictures based on what was going on. I had probably gone through about 50 photos and had labeled them all. It could of been as general as stating what was there in the picture or you had to label people by their names, like the homecoming court.

This was pretty simple all together. Even though it was simple, it was really time consuming but made the class go by fast. There is still more to do but will hopefully soon have it completed.

Today was an easy day for the webmasters. All we had to do was finish up labeling photos and update our blogs. I also went through all the cameras and got all the pictures from them. Next I am going to take all the homecoming pictures so far and put them in a folder so we can find them a lot easier later. Today was a nice day off, but I'm excited to start doing more next time!

Today in class I continued to look through photos for the school website. I went through the photos for band camp and commented on each photo identifying who and what was happening. I also looked in the emails and didn't find any new emails from any one so that's good that no one has any concerns with the website. That is all I did for today.

Next class I am not sure what I am supposed to do. If Mr. Langley is here next time I'm sure he will have a task for me to complete. If he is not I will look at the emails and go through the website to make sure everything is functioning properly.

Today in class I updated the school district breakfast and lunch menus. It wasnt a very hard process but I had to change both of the publisher files to a pdf file so I could upload it to the website. It only took me a couple of minutes. After that I went through all the powder puff football game pictures and commented on each picture identifying what the picture was about. That is all I did for the rest of the class.

Next class i imagine that i will just continue to comment on photos for the school website. I will also answer any emails that need answered.

Today I started off by picking ten pictures to put in Wordsworth yearbook. I couldn't figure out how to put them in, so I had to ask Mr. Langley for help. After that I went through all the SD cards and downloaded them on the computer.When I finished doing that I downloaded all the pictures from the cameras onto the computer. Then I finished up by labeling some pictures on Box.
Next class I need to download all the pictures form the homecoming parade and that football thing and put them onto box.

Today in class we did a ton of labeling. We had to label all the pictures from the homecoming parade and football game. We didn't know some of the people, so we have to wait until Wednesday to get the binder that has all the information about the people in the parade to label the pictures. After doing some labeling I downloaded all the pictures from the cameras onto the computer.I didn't do a lot of tasks, but I did one big one today.
Next class I need to organize out all the homecoming pictures and update my blogger.

            Today in Webmaster my plan is to finish transferring all of the pictures to the folder in order to pull them up onto the high school district website. If i'm not able to put them onto the high school district site on the photo slide show, then I hope to just get all of the photos transferred onto the new folder. This will be my task at hand and want to get it done as soon as possible because the photos currently on the photo slideshow are old and need to be changed.

          Like I said I hope to get this completed soon and will try to pick some good pictures to display.

Today in class I went through emails and was sent a pdf budget file from Coach Darget. He wanted us to post the new file in the finances part of the website. It took me awhile to figure out the best way to do it but I managed to get it up and running on the website for coach Darget. After I finished that I just went through the scholarships page that I created last class to make sure everything was good and working properly.

I am not sure what we are doing next class. We don't have this class until next Monday so alot can happen between now and then.The website could be perfectly fine or it could have issues we just have to wait and see. If nothing needs fixed or updated than I will help Tyler with Pictures for the website.

           Today in Web Master I was what you could say, a picture transfer guy. What I pretty much did was transfer pictures from the ACDpro 2.5 to a folder. After I finish doing all of these  I will take them from the folder and put them onto the main high school district website to be shown on the picture slideshow on the front page. I am not done transferring yet but one I get all pictures transferred I will then move the pictures to the high school district website.

            Next class I will continue from where I left off and hope to get a lot more now. This is very nteresting to do and to learn.

Today I downloaded all the photos from the SD cards that needed to be cleared. After that I went onto box and labeled all the pictures on there. I had trouble with a couple of the pictures because I didn't know their names but Mr.Langley and I figured it out. I also worked on organizing pictures into certain files a bit. Like putting pictures into Plains Press or homecoming week.
Next class I need to put ten pictures on box for yearbook and go through the SD cards to get new pictures. I specifically need to try to find a few good pictures of the football game for two Fridays ago.

Today in class I finished the project I started last class. I was to make a page out of every scholarship on the scholarship page in the guidance tab. I did this so it would make it easier for Mrs Brandon to edit the pages as she pleased. She can make the ones she wants visible to others available to others. The way she had it set up before was to difficult to edit and made Mrs Brandon in the past have to make an entire new page with  all the scholarships every year. I just made her job a whole lot easier. There were a ton of scholarships that I had to make pages for but i am glad its over with. I will continue to help out with the website as much as possible.

I am not sure what we are supposed to do next class but I will continue to read emails from faculty and parents and help out any way that I can.

Today I started by choosing some pictures for the Plains Press.I choose from the recent soccer games, FFA stuff, and just school life. I also downloaded some pictures Tyler took of the Homecoming Court to put on the website. I choose from 68 pictures and narrowed it down to about 10. I also learned how to balance the shadow and sun light in photos, which was really helpful for a couple.   I also had to download the same extremely full SD card again, so I guess I'm doing something wrong. I'll have to ask Mr. Langley about that..Other then that everything went pretty smoothly today.

                Today in Webmaster's, I had a different kind of experience. My objective today was to be a photographer. This was entertaining to do. I got to get our of the computer room and get some fresh air. What I had to take photos of was the homecoming court. The freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior couple photos. I took pictures of each of these couples in front of the Pleasant Plains High School sign. It was a beautiful day to take these photos.After I took the couple photos, I took all of the group photos. This was everybody all in one group. It then went to all the seniors, then just the senior girls, and to finish it off, the senior boys. Then I gave the SD card with the photos to Zemi to pull up the photos and pic our the best ones to send to the paper. Then to finish it off I had to go into the faculty emails and alphabetize all of the teachers names with in the emails. Just had to go in and drag and drop the emails in the edit mode.

                It was good to get outside and get some fresh air. I would hope to do another type of photography assignment in the future.I believe I did a good job on this and put all effort into it to get good photos. This is what my web master class consisted of.

Today I put all of the guidance scholarship links into a word document so we can access it if we need to in the future and I deleted any news on the guidance site that was old or no longer needed to be on the site. Also Mr. Boze asked me to make the link for the band site in the classes tab to link to his site and not the other band site. He feels he only wants one functional website. I only got 2 emails today and they were from Mr. Boze wanting me to fix the links and from Mrs. Brandon thanking us for changing the location for the guidance link. I am not sure what we are doing next time but I will continue to read emails as they come in and try to fix the problems or concerns people have about the website.

Overall today was a good day. Not much needed fixed on the website, so that's a good sign that our website is doing good. We will continue to make the website the best it can possibly be!

Today I continued to go through pictures and organize them.There was one other SD card that had as many photos as the other, so it took the majority of the class to go through and differ from good and bad. I also went through and picked some pictures for the Plains Press. I had some trouble finding where the pictures went, but I figured it out.
Next class I plan on organizing the folders and picking out more pictures.

Today I signed up for glogger to post glogs about my process. Also I answered a couple emails, looked through to make sure that all the emails were up to date on the website, and looked through the website to find any old news or pictures that need deleted. I am not sure what we will be doing next class but I will continue to go through and respond to emails and try to fix any problems with the website.

Today was a fairly simple day and I look forward to the next class. I hope to begin doing more things to help make our website functional all the time and up to date as possible.

         Today was simple. What I had to do was go through the news of the High School district site. I then had to pick out which subjects of the news were to soon be deleted in the future. I didn't delete them on site, I just took notes on what I knew needed to be gone from the site and am going to go from there after hearing further instruction.

       Overall it was a fairly simple day all in all. I pretty much just need to go through again and make sure that I have looked over everything again. Also check my notes again for any further mistakes.
